ATTENTION! This program is a professional medical calculator and intended for use only health care professionals.Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) was originally developed by Zigmond and Snaith (1983) and is commonly used by doctors to determine the levels of anxiety and depression that a patient is experiencing. The HADS is a fourteen item scale that generates ordinal data. Seven of the items relate to anxiety and seven relate to depression. Zigmond and Snaith created this outcome measure specifically to avoid reliance on aspects of these conditions that are also common somatic symptoms of illness, for example fatigue and insomnia or hypersomnia. This, it was hoped, would create a tool for the detection of anxiety and depression in people with physical health problems. The proper support for devices with different screen sizes (including tablet PC) has been done. The application is available in the following languages:- English- RussianExample of detailed test report: *Patients ID: Smith J.Date & Time: 19/10/2014 16:03________________________________Test: HADS________________________________ANSWERS: I feel tense or wound up: A LOT OF THE TIMEI get a sort of frightened feeling as if something awful is about to happen: YES, BUT NOT TOO BADLYWorrying thoughts go through my mind: A LOT OF THE TIMEI can sit at ease and feel relaxed: USUALLYI get a sort of frightened feeling like butterflies in the stomach: OCCASIONALLYI feel restless as I have to be on the move: QUITE A LOTI get sudden feelings of panic: QUITE OFTENI still enjoy the things I used to enjoy: NOT QUITE SO MUCHI can laugh and see the funny side of things: NOT QUITE SO MUCH NOWI feel cheerful: SOMETIMESI feel as if I am slowed down: VERY OFTENI have lost interest in my appearance: I DONT TAKE AS MUCH CARE AS I SHOULDI look forward with enjoyment to things: RATHER LESS THAN I USED TOI can enjoy a good book or radio or TV program: SOMETIMESRESULTS: Anxiety: 12 points, AbnormalDepression: 9 points, Borderline abnormal________________________________* - This feature will be available after the donationAny suggestions, inquiries are welcomed by e-mail to
